Simple open your TGB Dual Emulator's folder, open the 'save folder' inside and press F5 to refresh the folder. At times, after saving a state, you won't be able to locate its corresponding 'load state' file from the 'File' > 'Load State' menu. There is a minor glitch with this 'save state' function. To load a 'save state' file, you must shut down the emulator, re-open it along with the rom and proceede to 'File' > 'Load State'. It can be done, but is beyond your interlectual capability. Do note that this only works for the first emulator.ĭo not use this 'save state' file for duplicating Pokemon / Items. This allows you to save anytime you wish. To work around this, use the emulator's 'save state' function, accessed from 'File' > 'Save State'. Under such circumstances, the 'save game' function of Pokemon games are disabled. Now, let's say you wish to save them game while battling a trainer or catching a 'only has one in the game' pokemon, eg Ho-oh. Take note that these save files are not 'Save States' hence do not load them from the 'Load State' menu. To load this save files, you must choose 'continue' from the game menu. Xxxxx.sa2 is the save file for the second emulator. Xxxxx.sav is the save file for the first emulator. Repeat the necessary steps for more Master Balls / Pokemons (evolution) / Nuggets (money) / Rare Candy (level). Transfer them from the second emulator to the first. You will realise that both emulators' games have two Master Balls each. To do so, go to 'File' > GB2 - Load and browse Pokemon Crystal Version.gbc. This time, since Pokemon Crystal Version.sa2 has 2 master balls, you can transfer 2 master balls over to Pokemon Crystal Version.sav. Duplicate Pokemon Crystal Version.sav (this save file has two Master Balls) and rename it to Pokemon Crystal Version.sa2. Now, you want even more master balls! Simple! Delete Pokemon Crystal Version.sa2 (this save file's game has no more Master Balls). Unload the second emulator from 'File' > GB2 - Unload The other emulator's game will have no Master Ball! You want to keep this game as it has two master balls. Once you have traded pokemon, one of the emulator's game will have two Master Balls. This save is done by the game itself, hence it writes to Pokemon Crystal Version.sav for the first emulator and Pokemon Crystal Version.sa2. Trade the pokemon with the Master Ball to the first emulator. Go to the Pokemon Center and initiate a trade of pokemon between the two emulators. The first emulator is the one which you want to have many Master Balls. Make a Pokemon hold a Master Ball in the second emulator. Let the game run and choose 'continue' when the window has loaded. This will open the game in the second emulator (separate window). Go to 'File' > GB2 - Load and browse Pokemon Crystal Version.gbc. This will open the game in the first emulator. Go to 'File' > GB1 - Load and browse for Pokemon Crystal Version.gbc. Let's say you want to duplicate a Master Ball in Pokemon Crystal.įirst, duplicate the Pokemon Crystal Version.sav save file (found in the 'save' folder of the TGB Dual Emulator's folder) twice into the same folder and rename one of them as Pokemon Crystal Version.sa2 and the other as Pokemon Crystal Version.back up
